started my new job today. oh, you didn't know that i had a new job? i didn't say anything about it? sorry about that. i had to keep mum so my old job didn't catch wind prematurely. well, that and i didn't want to jinx it. you see, this new job is pretty great.

does anyone else think the not-yet-released Xbox 360 is ugly?

i was standing at the bus stop this morning and i realized that the stress of owning a car was much greater than the stress of owning a house. worrying about it breaking down, worrying about getting into an accident, worrying about getting a speeding ticket, worrying about getting a parking ticket, making sure the registration is up to date, standing in line for an hour and a half to get a parking permit, hoping no one breaks into it, paying to get it serviced ... good god!

don't get me wrong, i love to drive and will do so at any given chance. but i do not miss my car at all. i'm perfectly happy to take the bus and the occasional cab (and ride around on my motorbike as soon as i get it fixed) to get around my city. a car was just a liability.
