as a follow-up to monday's news piece (codpiece?), i noticed today the sfgate.com has a poll on the issue.
the question is "Does buying drugs finance terrorism?" and the choices are "Yes, another reason to say no", "No, it's propaganda", or "Not as much as buying gas." of 1922 votes so far, 17% called it propaganda and a wonderfully insightful 69% said, give me a break, oil-reliance is just as bad if not worse. only 14% just said no.
it brings a tear of joy to my eye. i love living in the Bay Area. you people can be so progressive and avoidant of the obvious for the undertone. sometimes i worry that my perspective of the world is dangerously skewed because of all of you, but then i have to count myself lucky for not growing up on the other end of that spectrum.
