in case you hadn't heard or been otherwise bombarded with the idea, tonight the country (the world?) is celebrating summer solstice with a "rolling" blackout. from 7-10p, you're encourage to turn off anything that uses electricity, especially the lights. you should do this in your local time zone -- thus, the blackout will "roll" across the country.
so go out and enjoy the stars, take a bath by candlelight, lay in the dark in silence, go to the ocean by moonlight, play hide-and-go-seek, stick up unsuspecting tourists with a rusty butter knife and complain loudly of "the bugs, man, the bugs ... they're EVERYWHERE! *twitch* *twitch*" ... just don't use electricity.
