i lost a bet and now i'm wearing women's underwear.

Corinne and i went to see Troy last night. good movie. entertaining and well cast but with quite bad camera work, special effects and musical score. i kept being pulled out of the moment with the amateur hour blood sprays and the frequent close-up shots of overly-shocked wives. it's lucky they had such a great story to work with (kudos to Homer) or it would have been a terrible movie.

anyways, to get to the part about the underwear, i swore up and down afterwards that the actor who played Agamemnon was the same actor who played the father in A Christmas Story. i bet Corinne all the money i had in my wallet ($28) and, well, the underpants thing. i was wrong. Agamemnon was played by Brian Cox. the other guy is Darren McGavin, who's actually 82 and thus way too old to have been in Troy. but look at these pictures:

so, yes, a bet's a bet and i am now wearing what would best be described as low-rise bikini panties. they could also be described as tight in all the wrong places.
