there is one person on TV i hate much more than all others and that is Christopher Lowell. it's not because he's a freak. freak's are good. but he gives THE WORST design advice. oh my gawd, the hideous creations he comes up with. the other day he was showing "before and after" pictures of reupholstered chairs and half of them looked much better before. today he was making planter boxes (or something similar -- i didn't watch long enough to really find out). as he's showing us how to put together the thing, he picks up a metal stud (which is clearly labelled "METAL STUD") and tells us about this "great new invention." okay, so you suck at design but could you at least be sure what you're talking about because metal studs have been around for TWO DECADES. dumbass.

and no, i don't know why i continue to get hooked into that show but i did watch Shipmates (a water-borne version of Blind Date) afterwards to cleanse my soul.
