ok, i'm awake.
it isn't that i wouldn't normally be awake or getting there at this hour. i just didn't expect to be springing into clothes and running around town at such a time. you see, the girl ran out of a gas again.
now, this time it wasn't really her fault. the gas light never came on. she was parked on a hill, nose up, and there must have been so little gas that it all trickled away from the tap and she couldn't get enough to get the car started. she was cute when she came back to my house. "i was more worried about waking you up than running out of gas," she said. she almost asked some random guy to drive her to get gas but she's cute and he might have been a rapist. you have to think about these things.
i, of course, didn't mind. i'd do anything for that girl. especially make her day easier when it seems headed in the wrong direction. especially when she showed up at my doorstep last night at 10:30pm as a surprise, which was pretty much the best surprise for any given Wednesday. how could i not help out a girl like that?
tonight, after a day of errands and hard work, i'm heading out to dinner with Yve, whom i haven't seen in ages. tomorrow night, Cory and i fly out to Vegas for Donna and Erik's wedding. by shear coincidence, we're all on the same flight. which means the following: (1) drinks beforehand, (2) drinks on the plane, (3) drinks when we land, (4) check into the hotel, drop off the bags, freshen up, and (5) go down to the Clark County Clerk offices to get their marriage license. gambling and general lack of sleep to follow. Donna looks great, by the way. she's been working out with a personal trainer so she can look extra hot in her wedding dress (champagne with red rhinestones strategically placed, long red gloves, tiara) and she looks, well, extra hot. she just looks strong. i was amazed when i saw her on Tuesday.
Dennis will have my car while i'm away, again. his prize for dropping us off and picking us up at the airport. let's hope i don't return to the some of the same things he "added" to my car the last time i left town.
