to celebrate her full weekend off, Corinne and i spent most of it horizontal.
not like that, you dirty birds! we were sleeping, lounging, watching TV, laying on the couch, laying in the sun. tsk, you people have filth on the brain.
but before that, Yve, Julie, a few friends from highschool, and a couple of their friends met me at G Bar for some drinks. it was quite nice to meet up with people who i was reaquainted with at our highschool reunion in July and hadn't seen for many years before that. (Yve and Jules excluded, of course.) we chatted and toasted the gods of libations. they wanted to go to the Bitter End, so we followed only to turn right back around after one drink and return to G Bar. (we being Yve, Julie and me.) after a short time there, which included taking pictures of our "parts" with a stolen camera, we decided to go dancing and caught another cab -- the third of the evening -- down to Club Six. the music sucked and we only ended up dancing for a couple of songs before deciding to call it a night and heading back. i said goodbye to the girls and came home to find Cor curled up on the couch, back from her shift and feeling under the weather. i did my best to cheer her up with my drunken chatter and we ended up talking until four in the morning.
we slept away a good part of Saturday -- it was nearly one before we got out of bed. (damn those super dark curtains!) once awake, we made the arduous trek to the living room couch to watch TV until 11:00p. i popped out briefly to get edibles and flowers for my girl, and i think we may have showered in there somewhere, but most of the day was spent zoning out to whatever we could find on the boob-tube. i finally made us go for a drive around 11:30p. we hit Twin Peaks, drove through Daly City, past the beach, through Golden Gate Park, stopped to walk around the Palace of Fine Arts, drove down the "crookedest street in the world", and got home about two to snack, watch the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark, and decide to finally go back to bed.
Sunday, we woke up at a much more decent hour and laid around in bed with the curtains open. we talked about past relationships, how silly people are, and how silly we are. i finally did the dishes, with gracious help from Corinne. and then we showered and left for the day. we got a burrito to share and headed to the Academy of Sciences for a planetarium show and a peak at their exhibits. the skull exhibit is both creepy and really cool. i definitely recommend it.
we got back around 4:30p, she headed home to her house and i spent the remainder of the night watching football and reading.
like i said, horizontal.
