toying with my news application, i managed to write a piece of code that emptied the database and deleted every last news item. so i'm slowly recreating it all and you will notice that most things are incomplete. (doofus)

in the future i will also be writing a piece of backup code so even if this does happen again, i will have something to save me from myself.
