thanks to Yve, who mentioned some Smashing Pumpkins lyrics in her journal and got me humming the tune, i pulled out a folder of CDs i haven't listened to in a long time and have been enjoying some great, albeit somewhat mainstream, music.

yesterday it was Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream. today it's Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders. tomorrow? who knows. maybe i'll pull out the Revolting Cocks or old Nine Inch Nails or some Meat Beat Manifesto or maybe really old Chilipeppers. so much to choose from.

of course, this morning i caught myself singing "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany as i walked out the door. so it's not all good.
